Privacy & Data Ownership
Your health data stays on your device. No accounts, no cloud sync, no data harvesting.
Health Check-In was built with a simple principle: your health data belongs to you and only you.
On-Device Storage
All your check-ins, experiments, routines, and insights are stored locally on your device. There is no cloud database, no account system, and no server that holds your information.
No Account Required
You don't need to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in with anything to use Health Check-In. Open the app and start tracking immediately.
What We Don't Collect
- No personal health data
- No location history
- No browsing behavior
- No contact information
- No advertising identifiers
- No cross-app tracking
Optional Features That Use Data
A few optional features do involve data transfer:
- AI Analysis (Pro+AI) — sends your check-in data to an AI model for pattern detection. Data is not stored or used for training.
- Backup & Restore — you can manually export a backup to Google Drive or a local file. This is entirely user-initiated.
- Weather data — your approximate location is used once at check-in time to fetch weather conditions, then discarded.
Backup & Portability
You can export all your data at any time as a PDF report or CSV file. You can also create full database backups for safekeeping. If you delete the app, your data goes with it — because it was never anywhere else.
Why This Matters
Health data is among the most sensitive information a person has. Many health apps monetize this data through partnerships, research agreements, or targeted advertising. We don't. Health Check-In is funded by optional subscriptions from users who find value in the app — not by selling data.
