Health Data Integrations
Connect Apple Health, Google Health Connect, Oura, Fitbit, and more to enrich your check-ins.
Your wearable devices and health apps collect valuable objective data — sleep duration, heart rate variability, step count, and more. Health Check-In can pull this data in to give your subjective check-ins additional context.
Supported Integrations
- Oura Ring — direct connection for sleep scores, sleep stages (deep, REM, light), HRV, resting heart rate, and step counts
- Fitbit — direct connection for sleep scores, sleep stages, and step counts
- Apple Health (iOS) — sleep, steps, heart rate, HRV, respiratory rate, blood oxygen
- Google Health Connect (Android) — sleep, steps, heart rate, activity minutes
Data from additional wearables like Garmin and Apple Watch flows through Apple Health or Health Connect automatically.
How It Works
When you enable health data integration:
- The app requests read-only access to specific health categories
- At each check-in, relevant data from the past 24 hours is attached
- This data appears alongside your check-in score in history and trends
- AI Analysis can factor it into pattern detection
What We Read vs. Write
Health Check-In only reads data from your health platform. It never writes to or modifies your health records.
Privacy
Health data is read at the moment of check-in and stored locally on your device alongside the check-in. It follows the same privacy model as all other data in the app — on-device only, never sent to a server (except optionally during AI Analysis).
Why Objective + Subjective Together
Wearable data alone doesn't tell you how you feel. And how you feel alone doesn't explain why. By combining both, Health Check-In helps you connect the dots:
- "I felt terrible today — and my HRV was 30% below average"
- "Great day — I also got 8.5 hours of sleep last night"
- "My score has been climbing since I started hitting 8,000 steps consistently"
The combination of subjective experience and objective measurement is more powerful than either alone.
